I am from Homer, Alaska. The reason that I chose to get into radio is because getting paid to play music, talk about it and chat with people on the phone is my dream come true! I love KZOK because, "The volume goes to 11 on this one!" My favorite five bands are, The Allman Brothers, Eagles, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix.
Other stations that I have worked for include: KMPS, AM1090, The Buzz, KPLU, KLSY, KIXI, THE MOUNTAIN, KQBE-ELLENSBURG, KWAVE-HOMER. If I were not in radio, I would be scooping poop for the Animal Planet Network.

The craziest thing that has happened to me on the air was when...The nationally syndicated show Rockline was originating from our on-air studio a couple years ago with Yes. My job was to run the local commercials. During a spot break, singer Jon Anderson leans over and says, "May, I have a smoke luv?" Even though we are not supposed to smoke in the studio, I said ‘yes’. I was really surprised at what he whipped out!
