Arik Korman, Director of the Bob Rivers Show, has worked with legendary Seattle broadcasters such as Jim French, Dave Ross, Bill Yeend, Wayne Cody and Robert E. Lee Hardwick. Arik was born in Redondo Beach, California and quit attending the University of California, San Diego soon after being corrupted by Antoine de St. Exupery's "The Little Prince." Arik moved to Seattle in 1988. In 1992, he married his wife Monique at the tender age of 22. In 1995, Arik and Monique spent 7½ months backpacking through Asia and visited Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Indonesia. Favorite hobbies include travel, hiking, downhill and cross-country skiing, tennis, golf, gardening, reading, speaking foreign languages, swimming, snorkeling and learning new things. Arik received the 2001 Visionary Award from Sabo Media, a high-profile media consulting firm in New York. He recently traveled to Ethiopia with World Vision to help sponsor African children, an experience which taught him that we all really can change the world, one child at a time.
