Hey KZOK,
My name is Nate Anderson, and I'm a drummer and bass player from Gig Harbor. I'm 15 and music is my life, without music I wouldn't be able to make it through the day. I listen to KZOK all the time, and usually go to sleep to it. Most stations play one good song, and than something bad like Asia, as the next song, but KZOK is different. You guys play song after song, the hits that I love.
I got kicked out of the last band I was in (Out of Focus) for reasons unknown to me. We played mostly covers of classic songs by Zeppelin and Sabbath. Now that I'm not in an established band I write and record all my own music by myself. Drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, vocals, etc. I am best at drums (playing for about 5 years), and second best at the bass (playing for about 2 years). Rather than calling this deal "The Nate Anderson Project", I like to be called Morningside West. You can find my music at
www.myspace.com/morningsidewest. Only one of the songs on there is serious because my friend and I recorded a couple of fake rap songs. I don't like rap, in fact I hate it, but the songs are worth a listen regardless. I play a lot of different styles such as; classic rock, psychedelic, alternative, metal, and others. I am searching for a band right now, and I would be the drummer. I know a guitarist, but we'd need a bass player and lead singer.
I go to Gig Harbor High School which, if you've heard, is like going to be taught in the pits of hell everyday. I have long enough hair to be able to pull off listening to music in class, and that's how I don't die from boredom during the 7:30-2:00 school day. I am also known as the class clown, and I always get into verbal fights with my teachers. I (for the most part) stay out of trouble, but will have the occasional lecture on what I said during class, but teachers will never crack me.
I believe I have a deeper sense of reality than most of my peers. I always think about touchy subjects like time and the future. I am a pretty interesting teenager, and I hope you got a feel for me by reading all of this.
Peace and love,
Nate James
